The Mayo 28 Story

Mayo 28 started with a simple idea: make a smash burger we would be proud to serve to our own family and friends.

We wanted to create something different—not a complicated menu with dozens of choices, but a focused burger experience built around great ingredients, bold flavors, and the perfect smash.

Every detail mattered. The beef. The crispy edges. The soft potato bun. The cheese. And, of course, the sauces.

And that's where the name Mayo 28 comes in.

May 28 is International Burger Day, and “Mayo” means May in Spanish. But there's another little connection we love: mayo also happens to be at the heart of some of our favorite burger sauces.

It was the perfect name for a place built around our love of burgers.

For us, sauce isn't just something you add to a burger. It's part of the burger's identity. Each burger has its own combination of flavors, from our signature mayo to spicy, sweet, and truffle-inspired creations.

But Mayo 28 was never meant to be just about food.

We wanted to create a neighborhood burger spot with its own personality—a place that's fun, welcoming, a little nostalgic, and doesn't take itself too seriously. A place where you can walk in, grab a freshly smashed burger and fries, and know exactly what you're getting every time.

Simple food. Big flavor. Smashed fresh.

That's Mayo 28.
